| Talk about the most popular 40K Video Game. Which version of dawn of war is your favourite? Which faction do you prefer to play? Best Units? Best Tactics? Best Map? Just general talk about all things Dawn of War Related. In my opinion the lates Dawn of War is fantastic, the graphics are great and the Tyranids are more than great _________________ Regards, Jake.

i haven't played Dawn of War II but i do play DOW alot. Tho most of the time i just Random it as i get borad playing as the same army all the time. I'm mostly Eldar or Necrons. I like the Tau but dislike that i can't have every unit at once.

Dawn of War is... fun! I haven't played it for a very long time (although now I've been reminded, I must load it up sometime soon). I seem to remember playing Eldar alot, and generally winning alot too For those who enjoy a good RTS, DoW is an excellent choice! I've not played the second one, nor do I have the Soulstorm expansion for the original (only Winter Assault and Dark Crusade) but I spent many an hour on these regardless and I cannot praise it enough. If you don't have it, buy it now... and I mean now, I'll be watching...

you can get the first 3 in a large multi pack and they are fantastic. Each have strengths and weakness. For example Necrons are slow to start b ut impossible one they have the heals dug in whilst Eldar can remain hidden alot of the time but are very bittle in comabt(Even the Banshess)

I don't have Dawn of War as I have a Mac, but I have played it at my friends house. It is really fun! I love being Imperial Guard. I feel bad for them.

Lord, the Guard are certainly the hardest to play. I loved Winter Assault and thought the Tau from Dark Crusade were fun. Soulstorm kind of killed it for me, though. And then DoW2 came out and it seemed so different from the first one that I couldn't help beinga bit disappointed. I will give it another chance pretty soon, I think, since I had a long talk with my old LANing partner for DoW and he was pretty psyked about the multiplayer. I found the campaign repetitive and really easy (played it on hard, so might have been my fault). DoW was a magical moment, though, with 40k translated so well to the computer. That game is what made me get back into the tabletop stuff.

I don't play online so games that focus on online play are a real turn of for me(Even more so if it's on 360). I keep intedning to get DOW2 but with moeny tight at the mo and Christmas too it may be the new year before I get it.

Your'e really not missing a great deal, IMO, by holding off on DoW2--especially if you don't like online multiplayer. Like I said, the single player campaign is even more monotonous than DoW and its expansions--probably most comparable to Dark Crusade's Total War-style campaign.

I also heard you can only play as the Marines like in the first one in the campain. That is something i really don't like. Tho the second gave you a choice between 2 diffrent armys each with 2 armys in them which was fun (Only ever compelted it as Marines)
