Ok its that time of the month when White Dwarf drops though my letter box so here is a sumary of what you can find in this months issue.

New Reasleses

The main release this month are the Space Wolves along with there new Codex. There are new Troops in the form of "Sapce Wolf Pack" that contains 10 Marines and it says here
Quote :
The kid has enough spare parts so that you can combine it with other Space Marine plastic kits, such as Scouts or Assult Marines
The also give us some very nice Terminators that look fantastic and have the full wargear opitions of Lightning Claws, Force Hammers, Assult Cannons and many more.
For first time Space wolf collectors there is a Battleforce which contains;
20 Space Wolf Marines
5 Space Marine Scouts (Which are htere for conversion it says)
1 Space Marine Drop Pod
They also get 3 new charatures including 1 that rides an actual Wolf!

Ofcourse the New LOTR modals are also released here too but most know all about them by now. See Link for more on them.

Alos this month we have a few new Books form the Black Libary "Shamanslayer" from the Gotrek and Felix series, "Space Wolf: The Second Omnibus" and "Cadain Blood".

Forge World also have 2 new Imperial vericals this month with the Vulture and a Vendetta Conversion kit.

Articals

40k have got them selves a look at the new Space Wolves along with sample army list and painting guide for the standard Space Wolves. They also as you would expect have a Battle Report againt Chaos Demons. Later on they go over how to convert some of your new space wolves and how to convert exisiting Space Marine machines inot Space Wolves

LOTR gets a look at the new modals along with consept art (WOOT!). They are also starting a Campainge across many issues(I think) and takign us though what will be happening along with new scenarios. The best part is that they give 2 variant of each secnario for SBG and WOTR.

Fantasy only get a small articall on special Charatures as well as a new section called "Citadel Hall of Fame" where they feature some fantastic only modals with the Britonans takign the first spot.

There are also the standard "Standard Bearer" artical and a section called "Master Modellers" where they talk over some of the more extream board that they have built in revious WD issues including the Isengard board from the Ent battle Report a while back.

Next Issue

40k are pussed to the back next month as the thousand Sons fight the Space Wolves with scenarios. The Scaven make a return next month but it is unknown how and ofcourse we get the Rules for the new SBG modals.

I hope you enjoyed this sumary and if you like the look of any of WD's context then go on out and get this issue. I will keep you posted each month with whats what.

Sorry wallet, but you'll be empty for a while as I buy the fantastic new Space Wolves Wink

Hmmm...I'm curious to see the LotR concept art and see just how terrible it is, since I wasn't impressed with the models.

Well I'll be looking into it for the Space Wolves alone. Wanna know how to convert my AoBR marines into wolves. The LotR stuff is just a bonus. Luckily my library gets a copy of every issue Smile

That's good that your library stocks it, mine's useless Razz

I might have to make a change to my tradition of not buying it anymore and actually get this issue.

I've made a decision that i'm definitely going to be buying some of the new Space Wolf miniatures, probably Lukas the Trickster. He's a very cool model, probably some of the other stuff aswell but haven't quite decided yet, there's just so much stuff to decide on at Games Day so hopefully these will be there.

I can't imagine a library stocking White Dwarf. Here in Virginia I can barely find a place that sells it! My fiancee just got me a subscription, thankfully.

358's Wolves v. Daemons report was quite good although I cannot help but wonder how things would have turned out if Daemons had been required to play by their rules. Was this a fix to dodge the inevitable codex creep crowd's complaints? (How's that for alliteration!) I'm still paging through the Blood and Sand campaign. This issue in particular, and the great support GW has given LotR in general, is what has motivated me to take the plunge and try SGB and WotR out.
