Got to say I am looking forward to it, Stargate SG1 and Atlantis were great so hopefully this one will be too.

the origial one was good but i lost intrest when Daniel died(Brofore he cam back to life) and the first series of Atlantis was good too but both got worse as they went on as i don't have high hopes fot this one at all. It seems like the Stargate plot mixed with Deep space to me.

I think you mean ascended - he died quite a few times before that - Quote :

I think you may mean Voyager - DS9 was on a space station, while Voyager was on a ship stranded 70 years away from Earth (from what I've heard of Universe, they're trapped on a ship far away from Earth and are trying to get back home). |

dam that sounds just like the plot to Voyager(Star Trek). At first i didn't even know it was a new Stargate. Yes it has Stargate in it's name but it sounded like something completly diffrent. I think they shoudl just let it die now and reval in holding the World record for longest condiunas runnnign Si-fi tv show.

Except Doctor Who is the longest continuously running Sci-Fi TV show isn't it? (something like 66-86)

not condiunasly running. It's the longest running Si-Fi but it stoped her and there however Stargate has alswyas had something being made for it

Depends on how you regard continuously. Stargate has had 1 season a year from 1997-2003, two a year from 2004-2007, and 1 a year from 2008-2009 (not counting the up and comming Universe). Doctor Who has had one or more seasons a year from 1963-1989, and the 'breaks' have tended to be more due to British series being aired differently to American ones (if I recall correctly, most American series stop halfway through and have a break for a couple of months before starting up again, whereas British shows generally only have such breaks when they'd otherwise fall on a Bank holiday like Easter or Christmas).

I think Doctor Who had one hiatus in something like 83 and there was a writer's strike in Tom Baker's tenuer which may count as a break for the purposes of world records

Well, who watched it? I thought it was very good. Feel sorry for Rush - even though he stranded them, he's getting far to hard a time I think. I actually find him quite likable (in fact, the most likable out of the whole cast O.o ). Anyone else reminded of McKay by Eli (in fact, any chance Eli's mum 'knew' McKay if you know what I mean ). Anyone else here who can't stand Greer? The guy's clearly mentally unbalanced and I wont shed a tear if they kill the character off
