What in your opinion is the most fun miniature to paint?

In my opinion, for a miniature to be fun to paint it has to have a bit of everything on it, and not too much of anything. For example, a bit of armour, a bit of skin, a bit of robes etc.

Most Rohan miniatures fall nicely into this category as do the majority of Haradrim miniatures. And Dunlendings now that I come to think of it

Although I think one exception to this in my opinion is Radagast the Brown. Very fun model to paint, and tests your painting skills as robes can be difficult to paint at times.

I like the Haradrim but that if becuase i used a diffrent tecknice to paint then compared to the others. You don't get a wash like the other modlas and have there own clour that i use only for them.

I agree Haradrim are one of the more fun models to paint due to their large variety of different colour schemes and the fact that they can pull off being brightly coloured.

thats one reason i went iwth Eldar as i could go so many clour schemes while Space Marines i would have to choise 1 and there we go.

Space Marines can have different colour schemes within their chapter it's just the main colour is still the same throughout. But you can still change things like Helmet colours, shoulder pad colours etc. throughout different companies of a Chapter.

But I'd still agree Eldar are the best army for imagination of a colour scheme.

which is why i went with them. I have the Guardians and anything piloted by them is in Linch Purple with Sunburst Yellow whist the Aspect warriors varry. The Die Avengers will have Warlock Purple and Enchanded Blue, The Rangers will have Snot Green and Mithril Silver etc.

I have to say that BIG things are really fun. Eg. trolls, mumakils, balrog (me not owning the last two) I like them as you can put a lot more detail into them but man-sized *runs to his collection and mulls over his answer* I'd say Dwarves, wood, cloth, lots of hair and armor; what more do you want. They just lack a lot of skin which I don't mind as I can't paint skin very well...

i have to say the modals that i have a lot of fun painting (Excluding the massive modals) would be Galadrim Knights, Haradrim and Dwarves as each look fantastic in thye clour scheme i have done.
The Haradrim are Warlock Purple with Gold all over and a Shinnign gold/Scourched Brown mix for there weapons like bows and spears. I did this to show that these Haradrim where wealthy buy having bronce weapons. They are also the Only bace that i flock.
The Dwarves where the first army that i "Experimaneted" by painting them diffrent clours with the dwarves having Enchanted blue armour and Warlock purple clothing, cloaks and shields. They really look fantastic. They also have a Blue wash over them to dull down the bright clours of the armour to make it look more like they live underground.
The Galadrim where gold armour and Ice blue clothing hoiwever the reseved a Enchanted blue trim to there cloaks that i love and have since tranfured that ontop my Eldar army. I am also a big Lothlorien player so they hold a special place in my heart.
