The Shadow of the Dog Lord “Might of Middle-earth” online campaign:

This thread is to see if anyone is interested in playing on a “play by post” roleplaying game based on my Shadow of the Dog Lord game system. I will only run this if I have at least four players who will be able to regularly post what their characters are doing/saying, so if you think you won't be able to regularly (once a day at least) check and post, please refrain from joining. Obviously, thing do come up, so if you miss a day or two, but are otherwise regularly posting, that will be fine.

For any who are not aware, The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game is an anthropomorphic fantasy game set during the Second War of the Dog Lord, which breaks out during the Age of Reason (the Renaissance). Further details will be posted when the game begins.

If you wish to join please say so below. If you have an idea of what you might want to play as well, please say so (it will be following the standard rules for the game, so those few of you with the rulebook can have a small advantage...for everyone else, I'll post all relevant information when it is needed):

I'd be interested in playing, although with exams in Jan, I can't gaurentee how often I'll be on over the next month and a bit (should still manage once per day, but from Feb onwards, if the campaign is still going there'd be a big upsurge in my number of posts ).


Not sure what character I'd play yet though...hmm. Do you have any specifics you'd prefer (obviously you wouldn't want an all warrior or all adept group)?

I'd prefer to have only one of each class race, so it'll be on a first come, first serve basis.

The races are (for any unfamiliar with the rules):

* Coyote (quick and perceptive)
* Dog (charismatic and perceptive)
* Fox (swift and smart)
* Jackal (charismatic and hale)
* Wolf (strong and hale)

The classes are:

* Adept (spellcaster/loremaster)
* Captain (leadership/combat)
* Hunter (ranger)
* Minstrel (leadership/healing)
* Noble (leadership/combat/special)
* Rogue (stealth/theivery)
* Shaman (offensive magician)
* Warrior (many forms of combat)

EDIT: Fantastic! Not a single spellcaster! This'll be a pleasant change from my 80% spellcaster campaign in real life

Haven't really done RPG's before but I'm certainly in I've got exams coming up too but should be still be posting daily regardless.

Before I pick a character...what's hale?

How much stamina you have...helpful for spellcasters and any who are fighting for prolonged periods of time.

I will be playing the role of game master, yes. I will also be posting when I expect to kick off once we get a fourth player, as well as any rules I see fit to post for your reference.
