Just was curious what your thoughts were in terms of the best hero to buy for his points cost...

I've managed to create a bit of a shortlist but feel free to add any by stating it in the forum.

Had to go with Durin, but it was close between Glorfy and him, mostly because of their versatility and durability.

Glorfy for me. Having a stat line that can own trolls and then beign one of the few to be resistant to magic too.

To me it is entirely circumstantial about how many points you can throw into the hero, what you want them to do and what you've got with them. However, if I was to vote someone, it's not someone on this list. Playing with my friend, I've had a lot of respect drilled into me for the Elven twins. Elladan and Elrohir cost as much as Glorfindel (cheaper than LotW?) and can achieve more due to the fact they can split up. Special rules are useful, and event he rage that occurs when you kill one doesn't really diminish their power.
I remember a game when I took on those 2 and Glorfindel with a bunch of Goblins and a Cave Troll (pretty sure I had fair bit more points) and they caused absolute carnage until I took them down with everything (Durburz, Warriors with Drum influence, Cave Troll...). He bought me a Bat Swarm after that incident
