hi guys me and my regular gaming opponent are going to build a board based on the realm of rhun (as he does easterlings) but we are finding it hard to find any source material on it apart from the towers and scenery in the shadow in the east book so any help will ace.

There isn't any. All that we know is that it's an area around an inland sea and some of the Easterling tribes come from there. Apart from that, there isn't really any info. It's plausable that the land is largely grassland and woodland as several of the major Easterling incursions were by forces with a large cavalry and chariot/wain element, although it's also plausable that those tribes were from further East.

a Dinadan said you might need to look at the army stlye as well. They where heavy armour and lots of long spears, also lots of cavalry and chariots so one can assume them to be in a place that would be like roman times but also have a large ammount of flat land. Also remeber that there is a large as sea/lake in the middle of it.

Ancient China sounds a good basis to me, do a bit of research into other Ancient East Asian architecture (places like Japan etc.) to get some more inspiration. Smile
