Ok as you might guess form the tital i have finaly given up and bought my self some Eldar. 1 box of 6 Fire Dragons and a Farseer. Why? Well as the tiktal also suggests i love the modals. I find almost all the Eldar modals to be fantastc and there are few they i don't like. I flet that i would start collecting them along with other 40k modlas just becuase of the way they are modaled.
Whats next? Well i have my eye on some Swooping Harks as well as the Eldar Rangers and the Ironclad Dreadnouht.
Have any of you ever bought modals just becuas eof the way they look?

Have I ever bought models just because I like the way they look? Absolutely Yes. The majority of models I buy are because I like the way they look, I've bought so many random miniatures that it's for your own safety (and my sanity) that I'm not posting a list Razz

LOL
I as thinking of starting to play 40K and actually get serious this time and actually buy the Rules book along with the Eldar Codex. However Eldar have 1 problem......most of there modlas are metal.Granted they are easyer than most with boxes of 5/6 of them but with only he Guardians, Jet Bikes and the tanks plastic it might be diffcult to afford all that.

I buy too many models that I like leaving me with a heap of half completed armies.
I do however like Eldar, they're a great army and can be specialised and characterised in so many different ways, such as Aspect heavy (swordwind?), mechanised, guardian/psyker based (ulthwe), full jet bikes (saim-hann), corsairs, exodites or even spirit based (iyanden). the most appealing factor is that they're so specialised and strategic that they seem like they'd be a blast to play as you need to think carefully about what everything is doing.
If I was to start 40k again, I'd definitely collect Eldar, and am even thinking about a small jetbike force...

I was just thinking of buying a Tactical Squad of SM just to paint them but I realized that they'd just sit on my shelf (or in my closet Laughing ) without much further use so I didn't give in to the temptation...
