| over the past 2 weeks or so i have noticed a distrinct lack of many if any posts and excluding my own posts i cna probally count them on 1 hand. Granted i do know we have relatively few members and only about 1/4 of them are here once a week or so. However i have bene wondering on how we can get more posting going on within the forum. I have been uploading new videos to my account and will be for quite a while as well as produced an advert for this very site but it just feels that they could be so much more done. So here is a call to ALL of the memebrs here at MOME Moderators or not. Put forward your ideas to drum up some more for lack of a better word "Traffic" here on the site.

| I've been checking up pretty much every day but as you've said there's been very little posted lately. I'm fairly swamped with work and other commitments so I haven't been especially creative on what to contribute unfortunately |

| For my part it's been a bit of laziness - haven't really done anything LotR related hobbywise for a bit. |

| It's a vicious circle; a dip in activity makes people less likely to contribute which in turn results in even less activity etc...
I think partly the current state of MOME is down to the general lack of interest in LOTR. Obviously, there is plenty else to discuss and the site makes good allowance for other areas of interest but that doesn’t change the fact that this is primarily a LOTR hobby forum. There are similar sites out there holding their own but for the most part that seems to be down to their large member-bases, allowing for topics to be recycled and activity maintained almost perpetually. We don’t have that luxury - with fewer voices, conversations burn out more quickly and fresh ones come along less often. Unfortunately, this also means that any recruits we do pick up will find the site rather dry and probably decide quite quickly that their browsing time is better spent elsewhere.
Can we change the situation? I get the feeling that we can’t expect the site to progress until we ourselves can successfully generate and maintain discussions. Given the current LOTR climate, threads on more approachable subjects - games/books/films/world events + news/work/life/etc – may be in order. If we can keep some banter simmering then at the very least it may encourage new/less frequent visitors to stick around and get involved. That’s the only way the membership count is going anywhere and, as I see it, the only way MOME is going to get on its feet.

| I generally keep touch but haven't had much to post. I've also been quite busy lately, which has cut into my time. I have been achieving a slight bit of painting/terrain building though, so hopefully I'll post some updates soon and be around to contribute to discussion. |

| i think all of us are here atleast once a week to check in but most of the time we don't post. In the past 2-4 weeks we have had about 3 posts in total. It's a dishearting really. One thing that might be hurting us is that we still haven't got our site name back due to money problems i assume along with RC's busy life. I have still ben active but even i have lacked heind as the painting comp has sort of faided out since no one posted any updates in over 2-3 months and my lazyness has somethign to do with that as well. |

| AW has explained the situation of MoMe perfectly. Even the larger LotR sites like One Ring are struggling at the moment, so for a small site like us it's even more difficult to keep active. This is not helped by my complete lack of activity or enthusiasm. |

| I'll be honest and say that until I got the email I hadn't been on here in quite a while, and ultimately it comes down to the fact that I'm a member of 5 different forums that all discuss GW's LotR game (4 of them are primarily LotR forums, and then Warseer).
With a game that's currently getting limited support, and kind of looks like it might be on brief hiatus until the next set of movies, people are more likely to pay attention to a bigger site that gets more regular traffic. I don't think it's specifically the fault of the users here being inactive, because there's only so much for a group of 10 or so active users to discuss anyways. With internet forums it almost always comes down to having a large membership for diverse viewpoints and more topics, as well as more posts per topic.
But joining a new forum is a hard sell - if I went over advertising this forum on The Last Alliance, for instance, what do we have to offer to someone who's already a member there? Some people might get interested and join, but I think most prefer the convenience of having all their gaming discussion (or at least all of their LotR gaming discussion) on the same site - easier to keep track of.
Sorry to be a bit of a debbie downer, but honestly I don't know what the best route to take is to increase forum activity. |

| I completely agree Hirumith don't worry about being a downer. Truth is truth However I found out something interesting when looking at the forum statistics today... February, March, April, May and June have actually been more active months for posts than October, November and December of last year (January not being included as it was about 5x more active than the past few months). |

| Haha, that is interesting! Maybe despite the seeming slump in posts, we're just growing slowly. |
