| I thought since The Hobbit film has now been confirmed and on its way (yay!  ) that it would be fun to suggest and speculate on who you think should be cast for the various characters in the film. I for one thought that the legendary Brian Blessed should be cast as Beorn, how amazing would that be?  His booming voice and huge stature would make him perfect for the role in my opinion! Anyone else have any suggestions? Cheers, Raccy. |

| I jsut hope we get Andy Sekings back as gollum and Ian Mckellan as Gandalf atleast. I doupt we will get whoever played Bilbo back or Orlando Bloom in as Legoals has a passing mention and Christoer Lee has said him self that he's just too old to go and film in new zeland this time. |

| Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen and Hugo Weaving have all been rumoured to be reprising their roles as Gollum, Gandalf and Elrond respectively. Ian Holm has been suggested that although he won't play Bilbo, he may narrate the films which is still good. |

| well it's always good to have some of the cast back. I had herd rumors of John Rhys-Davie playing Gloin but i belive these are jsut fan rumors of people jsut wanting him to play gimli's father. Bersides Gloin was reather uniportant plot wise. There where only 4 Dwarfs who really mattered plot wise. Thorin Oakenshield, Fili, Kili, and Balin. I'm wondering who is going to play balin more than any. |

| How about Sir Derek Jacobi or Patrik Stewart for Thranduil? As classically trained actors I'm sure they could pull of the dignaty an arrogance befitting an Elven king. |

| a Dwarf who was once in Red Dawrf. Oh the ironny!!! It hurts my eyes!!!  I would be ashame if they couldn't film in New Zeland though. |
