Also a bit of news is that the final script has been finished and Tolkien and New line have finally settled on a payment with there law suit so there should now be no more obsticals (But don't expect it to be finished on time tho) |

| REally looking forward to it, as long as Mortensen and McKellen reprise their roles... Oh, and Lee as well. As long as the director remains true to Jackson's Middle-Earth, it should be well worth the wait!

| I'm looking forward to both movies! I'm really curious where they want to go with the second one.
Christopher Lee has said he will not travel to New Zealand again, since he feels he couldn't handle it (at his age). I can't blame him, but if they manage to put Saruman and Aragorn in the second movie, then well, we need him and Mortensen! |

No reason they can't film it here in Britain if they need him as 1) we have the scenery and 2) they could use bluescreen to add him into scenes or even build some of the sets in one of the London film studios. |

| Really looking forward to it as it might just breath some fresh air and ideas into GW and hopefully get some decent minis out. Gaming aside, The Hobbit is one of my favorite books and (if true to its author) the movie will be nothing short of amazing (I hope). So its not going to be released in 2011? |

| They where syaing that it would be over 2 films so i think the second will be called
"The Hobbit - Battle of the Fire armys" but thats just guess work. I aslo wonder where it's going to switch. I think once they escape Mirkwood but again it's jsut guess work.
I am intrested in what they do with the Dwarves as only5 of them are of any importance, Thorin, Fili, Kili, Balin & Gloin. and Gloin only becuase of his son. |

| Actually jaws, it's supposed to be one film, and the other will be about something else (the two main theories I've heard are either the fall of the Necromancer, or something set between TH and LotR). |

| Shame, but considering what he had to go through with the makeup, I can't blame him. Wonder if he'd do it if there was some way arround the makeup (although considering his desire to play a different type of character, probably not)? |

| Aye, Ian McKellen let that slip a few weeks ago in his interview, and I suspected they would do that from the get-go. I'm a little nervous about it actually, since it was Saruman who leads the assault, but Christopher Lee says he will not be flying to New Zealand to film anything because of his age. We'll just have to wait til 2011 it seems  |

| Wonder what his cameo will be :? He says that it's a monster, so not sure where that could fit in. Things that spring to mind
A) one of the ancient dark creatures in the depths of the Misty Mountains, and will be in the background somewhere around Gollum's pool
B) one of the goblins
C) will be kept for the second film concerning Dol Guldur and will be something in one of its dungeons. |
