| Just stumbled across this. It's a mod for Rome Total War that lets you play a LotR version set in the Fourth Age. Currently downloading it, so can't vouch for it's quality, but it definately sounds interesting. Anyone played it yet? |

| I have it and it's a pretty good game - excellent total mod of the original and they really did a great job with the map/skins etc. The warfare mechanics from RTW don't translate that well into Middle Earth but it's still a fun game to play - my brother's and I spent a whole summer playing the hotseat campaign (the Silvan Elves finally took there place as rulers of all  ) I'd definately recommend it - especially if you're familiar with RTW. |

| I'm currently having to redownload it because it wouldn't run >.< Think I may have saved it to the wrong place. Any tips on where to save it to AW? |

| Erm - I think I saved it to the recommended folder. I don't do complicated things on a computer. Have you made sure your current RTW patch is compatible with the mod? |

| It is - you need Barbarian Invasion V1.6 to run it and that's what I've got. |

| F**k it - trying to download it on Firefox instead of IE was worse - didn't even get the installation programme to run >.< I'm gonna try once more with IE, and if that doesn't work, then screw it, I'l just stick to playing regular RTW  |

| Nope - this is the first mod I've ever tried. At the moment it's putting me off ever downloading a mod again  Which is a pity as it looks like a really nice mod going by the screen shots |

| i think if i remeber they have a few videos of it and if i remember correctly they have a unit with 4 Saurons!!!!!  |

Must be a different game - this one's set 200 odd years after the films. |

| Worked this time - just had a go at the campaign for a bit playing as Dunland. Is fairly good, though gameplay does feel a bit 'ropier' than proper RTW. Here's some screenshots I took during play: Dunlendings defend a bridge over the Isen against the Rohirm:  Rohan sends troops to relieve the seige of Helm's Deep:  The garrison of Helm's Deep sallies forth:   The Garrison Captain flees from the Dunlendings - he doesn't escape:  The Dunlendings attack the Caves of Anglarond:   It is defended by Dwarves:  |

| looks good. I love RTW more than any others (got Shogun 2 but it works so slowly it's almost unplayable) |
