Lots of work still needs doing, for example whilst browsing the threads it all look quite confusing. I'll probably be experimenting with different themes and colour schemes over the next few days.

Yeah, it is a slightly weird layout at the moment but I'm sure that'll all get sorted.

Once the forums are back up, shall we start some of the old popular threads back on here? And just basically pick up from where we left off!

Yep that'd be the way to kick start the site. I'll try and advertise a bit better this time aswell, once people here we've got a gallery etc. it'll hopefully all be word of mouth. My deadline for this to be up and running is 18th October (the day the last version of MoMe went online).

Okey dokey, I assumed that would be the case but I was just checking.

With luck, the basics of the site should sooner I'd expect (not putting any pressure on you there, but I've managed to get the general setup done in an evening ) and then a gradual adding of features and whatnot.

MoMe 3 was done in a day or two but this ones taking longer, the schemes are terrible and it's different from what I'm used to.

Argg, that's annoying. Hopefully it won't take too long to adjust to the new site (for us members and you of course!)

The original MoMe will be back at some point however we're planning to stick with this one if all goes well with the layout if things as it's got much better features, the gallery for example (and unique from TLA and OR - you can rate images out of 10)

We have the reputation system which we are still pondering on how to have it work but at the moment it is now set so admins can give reputation points to people they believe deserve it, the more rep you have, the more you've contributed to the forum.

The gallery isn't started yet but when it's finished it'll be like ORs gallery only users can also rate each others pics out of 10.

There's a new chatbox.

When it's all finished I'll be giving the site a custom domain name do there's none if this free forum crap lol (I'm thinking www.might-of-middle-earth.com).

But the sites still very much WIP.

Galleries sound good. Also the 'latest tutorial' feature looks great, if you can have articles, i would be happy to do a few small ones

I like the chatbox too, nice little thing.

Regarding the domain - thats alot of dashes between words. maybe just www.mome.com or www.mightofmiddleearth.com. i am not a dash sorta man :cheers:

Any Tutorials will be accepted once it's up and running, would be good to have a few more .

Only have rep by mistake, I set it up wrong to begin with .

So can yu set it up, so that it automatically gives you rep every 50 posts for example. Alternatively, so that your articles and gallery pics or WIP threads give rep too. or something like that - i know you are still playing arround with the gizmos.

As for rep, we can't do that unfortunately. What we can do is set it so people give each other rep if they think they deserve it but I feel this way it's more official. But I think we should still think about it in every angle first (all the staff - unfortunately Jaws and Dinadan still have no clue this is here as MoMe died before I had a chance to let them know).

I agree, if members cn just give reputation, its gonna be abused basically.

I really love this site Jake, so much nicer than the valley. :/

Nah, the Valleys been more successful than MoMe so far, it's active and got lots of posts.

thats because i never gave up, and always was very persistant. but it sort of paid off ( i think). Just don't give up, and it will go well!!! I am gonna be here alot anyway haha.
