Hey all!

Well, it's been almost a year since War of the Ring was released and, though I've had the book for that long, I've never really felt like making an army. Yeah, I'm painting the army for O-R, but that's really just to get back into painting and because I was asked to paint for Moria and agreed...I plan on selling it when it's complete.

But I have decided to make an army for myself, so decided to start at a nice even points total: 1,000, and make an army for my faction of choice in the good ol' days of playing the SBG over three and a half year ago: Angmar!

Here's the army list:

* The Witch King of Angmar (Epic Hero)
* Angmar Orc Warband
- with shields
- 4 companies
- Orc Captain
- Banner bearer
- Angmar Shaman
* Ghostly Legion
- 4 companies
- Banner bearer
* Ghostly Riders
- 2 companies
* Allies: Wild Warg Pack
- 3 companies
- Warg Chieftain

Total points: 985.

Once this army is done, I intend on making a Good 1000 point army (possibly Fiefdoms). That should keep me busy for a while.

Nice list Fenrir! 6 companies of ghosts really is something scary, but it does reduce your numbers alot in my opinion. For example, I can get 15 companies into my Lothlorien army, and all combat-orientated formations have atleast 2 Might each!

Might post my list later, but well done Fenrir.

the Shamans arn't that good. 100pts for a lv1 magician. Rather poor. I will oftne take someone like the Mouth of Sauron or a Nazgul for eaither equal or slightly more points.

Like jaws said, the shamans are badly priced. As I recall, the MoS and Queen Beruthiel are both the same price as the generic shaman and have extras. I'm betting you want theme, so you could just use 'count as' and call them 'Barrow-wight Lord' or 'King/Queen of Carn Dum'

One other thing to bear in mind - larger formations do better in my experience, so I'd recomend bulking out the orcs a bit.
