Fret not kiddies, I don't think the release dates will be pushed back. Because we've gotten exact release dates for each film, I'm sure that once NLC signed the deal to start doing the film's preproduction, they locked the release date.

My guess is that they will have either an Elven princess in Mirkwood with some lines, or perhaps a flashback with Bilbo's mother telling him stories about dragons.

Except isn't Bilbo's mum 'played' by Fran Walsh in FotR? (i.e. in Bag End there's paintings of Biblo's parents based on PJ and Fran Walsh)

Its not just that they're incredibly annoying but judging by their appaling X Factor performances I somehow doubt they'll be able to act.....

You can say "Aw, but they're funny+/cute because they can't sing/dance/act" - well that may be fine for a Christams panto (and apparantly the X Factor) but that sure doesn't cut it for film work. Being bad at singing, given the write situation, can be funny (albeit normally only in a "ha, they're maknig a fool of themselves); being bad at acting in a professional production is NEVER funny...EVER!

Please PJ - use some sense on this one. Remember when you dropped Arwen from Helm's Deep, and when you replaced Sauron with a troll at the Black Gate? Remember those decisions? They were sensible decisions...sen-si-ble. Give us another one - pleeaaaase

Fili and Kili are 2 of the more important dwarves too. I would still be up in arms but not as much if they where to play one of the minor ones. But Fili, Kili, Thorin, Balin and Gloin(Argment there) are the msot important and Gloin only becuase of who his son is.
