Well I've been very inactive for quite a while now and now that the festive season is over I plan on getting the site back to how it used to be.
Over the next month we will hopefully be seeing our Domain name coming back as I still haven't had it renewed, I will have the ads removed once again and will also see about adding a couple of extra goodies to the site.
I will be sending out an email to all members at some point over the next week to try and invite our regulars back and will start attempting to recruit newcomers.
I've managed to set up a system where the Blogs forum actually work like Blogs.
As you can see from this thread, the main post is a large main post whereas all of peoples replies actually work like a kind of comments system. Making it more and more like a proper Blog.
Over the comming months I'll be runnign a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign for some members of my club, and I thought I'd keep a record here for any of you who are interested in reading about it.
The setting is Mordheim, City of the Damned circa IC2001, shortly after the destruction of the city. Many are dead; many more homeless; and many come from afar seeking to plunder the ruins.
Well, the other week I ordered some stuff for Cutlass! and it arrived today. Just opened the box and had a quick look through. The models are quite nice, although some of them have above adverage flash. I'll update with WIP shots as work progresses on them
Well I thought I'd create a quick blog here to see what it was like and just to post something meaningful.
A short while back I bought Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space RPG. Gathering a few friends, some of us got fairly excited at the prospect. Seeing as I bought the set, I got designated Games Master. Which is quite a new and daunting experience for me, having never played an RPG before and not being particularly quick witted.
Well we had our first game, but it didn't go great because we were pressed for time and so had people leave and it was very rushed (and I ended...
So after a while i fininaly got of my ass and filmed some stuff. So far i have 3 vidios uploaded to my chanel and i will be doing more. I hope to get a Battle Report out once a week and the occasional Unboxing, conversions and other stuff. Please give me some recomendations to battles you would like to see and i will try and arrange it with a few of my "helpers". The first 3 are lsitsed below if you are intreasted.
Played Mordheim for the first time today - 'twas fun. Playing a Posessed warband, I started out with a Magister, a Posessed and six Brethern (two with axes and daggers, two with hammers and daggers and two with short bows, axes and daggers). After three games, one of the hammer men is dead and one of the bowmen has been promoted to hero status.
First game was against a Skaven band, and was a street fight - we were fighting down a long narrow(ish) street with the objective being to leg it down the street. My archers set up in some ruins on my left flank, with the main band taking up...
Had my first game in ages of LotR today (well, two games to be precise); was quite fun - lost the first won the second.
The first game was 400pts and saw my Rohirim allying with Saruman to face off against the Balrog. Predictably, the Balrog won, however, I did manage to deplete the Balrog's store of will and got it down to 5 wounds
In the second I fielded the same army, plus Hama and faced off against Gandalf and the Grey Company. Cowardly, I deployed in one corner and refused to move, forcing...
We need to liven up the blogs area, it's nice to have this section and it has the potential to be a big discussion section to up the websites posts considerably.
So if you're able to make a blog of anything, do so!
This is a very small blog asking for others to start their own blogs, but I will be making a new Blog post this week to actually contribute something to this forum
Just wanted to vent some anger over the April Fools joke they're playing on their members. When I first went on I thought I'd been hacked, then I noticed everyone's avatar had been screwed up.
It's been a while since I've popped up around here but I want to insure you all that I am alive!
I've been inactive since before christmas really and admittedly I've been through a lot in past several weeks, much coursework, splitting up with my girlfreind, much more coursework , a couple of exams, revision etc. Life went through its shit stage but I'm back now so things must be getting better right?
Exams are over properly untill May now and the last coursework deadline is in 2 weeks so not much of...
Recently came accross this site - a forum for UK Furries. It's quite interesting if you're a furry, and suprisingly there seem to be a few furries in my area. Guess I'll have to arrange to meet one at some point
So, just gt the response on One Ring, and the participants for next year's Tale of 9 Gamers: War of the Ring have been announced. With my current obligation with an army painting contest on this website, I have two armies now to paint in 2010: a 1500 point Rhun and Khand army for the Strategy Battle Game, and an at least 2000 point Gondor and Arnor War of the Ring army for O-R.
Figured I'd post this here since no one who can do anything in real life can say anything on this forum...which is the last thing I need.
Anyways, I log onto Facebook not long ago and find my ex girlfriend has managed to create an account therein. She has popped up as a "suggested" friend by the site itself for me.
Now, for me, this was a no brainer to reject, since all the flashes of what se did to me came back into full perspective, but then another part of me started chiming in its two cents: why? Hell, it said, it's been nigh on two years since "the incident"...why...
